Customer Reviews

I love this scope! I currently have this scope mounted to an AR15 A2. Very easy to use, firm adjustment knobs (which are well crafted) and a breeze to mount with a quick lock lever allowing you to remove it from a rain in seconds. I am also impressed with the quality of the image even at its max magnification. The scope also has a rubber coating of armor that not only looks great but is well made and strong. This scope is a great buy for the money.
I also wanted to mention that the scope has a red laser mounted on the left side that allows you to air your rifle without looking through the scope. You could in essence shoot from the hip if you wanted to. The scope sight and laser have independent settings so you can set the laser for 100 yards while setting the scope for 200 or 300.

I've been looking for a powered scope since my eyesight is extremely horrible. My eyes are at -9.5 so I'm EXTREMELY nearsighted. This scope feels sturdy enough but after doing research (before purchasing) I read that tightening all the mounting screws, especially ones on the bottom of the unit, will help ensure that the scope stays zeroed after being fired. The 3x-9x adjustable power works exactly as expected if you've ever used a 3x-9x you shouldn't notice a difference. For less than $200, its hard to beat this scope. The laser is an added bonus. At first I thought, "What's the point of a laser on a power scope?" Well, I zeroed the scope for 100 yards and the laser is set for 50 yards. So anything 50 yards or less can be targeted pretty quickly and easily using the laser. I haven't tried the bullet drop compensator yet since its not calibrated for .22LR ammunition. Even without using the blue illuminated reticle, the black reticle is just fine for regular lighting. I had the stock iron sights for my S;W but honestly, I couldn't see my targets clearly even if they were less than 30 yards away. All in all, I'm very happy with this scope and I can say for sure that it hasn't lost zero even after firing 500+ rounds with this scope mounted. Keep in mind that I'm only firing .22LR from an AR so there's not as much kick as you'd experience from other larger caliber ammunition.
Pros - The adjustable power zoom.
- Blue illuminated reticle is actually not overbearing
- Was thinking of purchasing a separate red dot, but the laser is more than adequate.
- Rubber coating is durable and a definite style bonus point.
- For less than $200, I can't think of a better scope. (with a laser!)
- Comes with a zippered case to stow the scope if you want to.
- Flip up lens covers are clear enough to use even when they are in the "down" position.
- Not noticeably heavier than the factory iron sights (which I had to remove to use this scope as the rear sight was too tall)
Cons - Couldn't leave my factory iron sights on and use this scope. Rear sight blocks the lower 2/3 of the reticle.
- Bullet drop compensator can't be calibrated for different ammunition.
- The "laser on/illuminated reticle on" setting doesn't let you adjust reticle brightness.
- Quick release lever is on the right side of the unit. Would have preferred it on the left side.
- Elevation adjustment knob is located INSIDE the bullet drop compensator post. You have to unscrew a cap on top of what's
normally the elevation adjustment post.
- Battery is one of those cr2032 batteries that's typically used as the CMOS battery in computer motherboards.
- In order to adjust the laser, you need an allen wrench.
My brother has the M;P 15 (full .223 AR) and a $400 EOTech red dot. Even he was impressed by this scope. I would definitely recommend this scope for anyone who's looking for an affordable adjustable power scope. There's also a version without the laser that will save you about $30. You can even get it at a fixed 4x magnification and no laser to save another $30. Get one!
