This is an exellent gun for beginners and advanced airsofters alike. The only problems I have had with this gun are super easy fixes. The gun shoots at about 400-450 fps with .20g bbs. The actual performance of the gun is very good, but can be matched with a slightly cheaper gun. What you pay for with this gun is an insane amount of durability. This feature though is a slight inconvinience because of the weight that acompanys I hunt with a wood stock ak-47 adapted for said purpose and it weighs about the same. This gun will make you tired, but that is the cost of realism. Very good gun.
P.S. one or more reviews below have cited this airsoft gun for inaccuracy. In abbreviated response that problem could be mostly fixed by using a heavier, higher quality ammo. Also keep in mind that this is a machine gun and not a sniper rifle.
The gun looks great, feels great and performs great when you first get it. The real wood is a type of pine wood, so it kind of takes away from the look a little bit but it still looks really good and holds up well. The full metal feels awesome and makes the gun heavy at about 8 pounds with a full clip, but nothing that you can't hold up. The sights are cool in that it replicates the real AK-47 with the adjustable rear sight dial. There are built in metal strap holds on the gun but the package does not include a strap. The full metal hi-cap mag holds about 600 bbs. Remember to only use 0.20 gram bbs, they may be expensive but if you're buying a gun over $200, it's worth it. The gun shoots at a bout 400 fps with the 0.20 bbs and the rate of fire (rof) is crazy good. The only problem is that the rof is so fast, the gears get jammed easily. This didn't happen at first but the more we shot it, the more easily it jammed. Now it jams about every 100 rounds if that. So the performance has definitely not held up.
